During the lecture at London Metropolitan University
This is during my lecture at the University of Hull at Scarborough
Anne Bronte came to Scarborough for the healing spa waters - she died - this is where she's buried
The board at Kings Cross rail station: everyone congregates here to find out from which platform their train will depart (then everyone makes a mad rush for the train)
This is the Westminster Cathedral
Dinner with friends Javier and Alicja in London
Alright, sorry for the touristy photo of me in a London phone booth... so very sorry!
Big Ben a night!
In London there seems to be a C of E church on every corner; here's one in Notting Hill (yes, just like the movie)
Roman era wall that went around London (near the Tower of London).
This is the Tower Bridge from one perspective on a rainy London afternoon (per usual)
This is another view of Tower Bridge on a rainy London afternoon (per usual)
The Tower of London as seen from a nearby subway station
Within the Tower of London this structure is call White Tower; there are exhibits in here on period armory and the crown jewels (and the biggest punch bowl I've ever seen!)
One of the first things you see in the White Tower is a chapel
The last tower I climbed (many hundreds of steps were climbed) was the "Bloody Tower," aptly named for the murder of the sons of Edward IV (Edward V and Richard), two heirs to the crown in 1483 (two suspects were Richard III or Henry VII)
The "London Underground" or tube is the quickest but most costly way to getting from one place to another

A view from a car on the way from the countryside to Aberdeen at sunrise
This is High Street through the campus of the University of Aberdeen (founded in the 15th century)
Another building on the University of Aberdeen campus (I believe it is a church but will check on that)
The Salvation Army building in downtown Aberdeen at night. This place is full of such wonderful granite structures!
Our concert was in the atrium of the Medical Institute at the University of Aberdeen; this is the ad that was rotating on their internal memo system
Pete Stollery and I under the display monitor
Pete checking out the system for the evening's concert
Pete and I at the mixing desk prior to rehearsing
This is the meadows at the park across from the B&B I was staying at while in Edinburgh
This was the first monument I saw as I left the train station upon arriving in Edinburgh
Walking along the streets in Edinburgh is very picturesque!
Looking down the street that leads away from the Edinburgh Castle
View of another church from the Edinburgh Castle
Backside of the Scottish National War Memorial
The royal residence and where the royal jewels and stone of destiny" is on display
The entrance to the Scottish National War Memorial
A main hall for gathering
A ceiling in the royal residence
A view of Edinburgh through one of the cannon portals
The royal residence where Queen Mary gave birth to James (big mistake)
A look at the stained glass windows on the side of the Scottish National War Memorial
A view of buildings and a wall of the Edinburgh Castle from the base of the Royal Maw
Approaching the main gate to the Edinburgh Castle: the scaffolding was being erected for the forthcoming "tatoo"
The "lang" stairs was the original way to get to the top of the castle
A map of the Edinburgh castle grounds
You have to love people that have a cemetary for their soldier dogs (one of them was even stuffed and on display in the military history museum, named "Bob")
A map of the city view towards the north from the Edinburgh Castle wall
Out for a "pint" with Robert Dow, James Wyness, me, Jeff Herriott and Pete Stoller (lft - rt)
A map of the city view towards the west from the Edinburgh Castle wall
This is me in front of the board at the University of Edinburgh
A plaque commemorating the bravery of Sir William Kirkcaldy who defended the Edinburgh Castle from siege for 5 years to protect Mary Queen of Scotts
Every day at 1 o'clock they fire this gun; time around the kingdom historically was synchronized by this event daily
This is St. John's Scottish Episcopal Church near the base of the Edinburgh Castle
Here is the University of Edinburgh Student Union building (fancier than the Reitz Union at UF!)
This is the concert hall where I performed during the "Soundings" festival
These are examples of the infamous "tweeter trees" used in many UK diffusion systems (a la "BEAST")
Indeed, this is the obligatory photo with Clansman in "traditional" regalia (me on left, Jeff Herriott on the right)
A panorama composite facing west from the castle
