Plain and simple, Tessa was my love. I've had a good number of wonderful dogs in my life. I've loved them with all my heart. But, if you're lucky, once in your life you'll have a dog that decides you are their human. Tessa was that dog for me. We were two parts of the same being (she was the beautiful, loving part; me, not so much so). She was only 4.5 years old at her passing of immune mediated hemolytic anemia and the drugs that were meant to save her life. She was on nine medications in an attempt to save her life. Even with the best vets at the UF Vet School we couldn't find our way through this scary forest. Tessa will forever be my pup an I am still her human. I am a better person for having her in my life.
